Job description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager for an initial 3 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £250-£300/day (Inside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.

 
Responsibilities:

 
- Assist the Senior Finance Manager in the year end preparation and completion of the Annual Report and Accounts.
- Provide support to the Senior Finance Manager in managing monthly reporting responsibilities, returns and VAT.
- May also be required to liaise with Senior Managers and employees across the organisation and with certain third parties.
 
Essential Skills:

 
- Part qualified accountant with recognised accounting body or QBE
- Good understanding of the principles and requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Annual Report and Accounts experience
- Budgetary Experience
- Working knowledge of a computerised Financial Accounting System
- Liaising with External Auditors
 
Desirable Skills:

 
- Preparation of Annual Report and Accounts under FreM
- Understands Contracted Out Services VAT
