Overview
A leading provider of serviced accommodation are looking for a highly-organised candidate to handle the administrative duties surrounding guest services.
Salary: £18,000 – £22,000
The Role
- Ensure global daily reservations and bookings and related administration is accurately and timely processed, ensuring every booking is completed to agreed standard operating procedure
- Providing written confirmations and check in details to clients within agreed service levels
- Contacting guests pre-arrival to ensure they have all the information they need for a smooth check in to their apartment
- Processing credit card payments via PDQ/on-line terminal
- Proactively contacting other apartment providers for extension of bookings where necessary and confirming checkout dates
- Handling all correspondence and email communication in an effective and timely manner
- Deal with all enquiries coming into the Guest Service department and adapt and prioritise them as required
- Maintain the highest level of written communications for pre and post travel correspondence
- Every guest should receive a personal and warm greeting; recognising repeat guests and making sure we value their return
- Take immediate action to rectify any issues that may impact a guest booking
- Ensuring that the guests have the most positive experience during their visit
- All other tasks as requested by the management team
Key Skills/Experience
- At least six months’ experience of working in a customer/guest services environment
- Excellent communication skills and be comfortable greeting/welcoming and helping our guests
- Experience of dealing with and resolving complaints
- Customer service focused and an enthusiasm to exceed client expectations
- High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
- Excellent, positive written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to resolve guest problems quickly and efficiently
- Enthusiastic, flexible, professional self-starter
- Experience of working on your own and using initiative along with the understanding of working well within a team
- Knowledge and understanding of good practice in relation to building and developing existing and new clients
