What you’ll need - Experience using data modelling tools and techniques (e.g. ER modelling for operational systems, dimensional modellingfor analytics/data warehousing, understand Kimball versus Inmon)
- Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as SQL, NoSQL, and understanding of their strengths and weaknesses
- Good understanding of data integration and data governance principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify data modelling requirements and constraints.
- Capability to analyse complex datasets and derive insights to inform the data modelling process
And any experience of these would be really useful - Awareness of industry-specific standards and best practices related to data modelling and database design.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues related to data quality, data integration, and performance optimization in data models.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner,makes use of analogies for non-technical audiences.
