Job description
Our client based in Camberley is looking for an HR Advisor (HR Generalist) to join this thriving SME business. This position will be reporting to the Head of HR and be required to undertake a multi-site position (Reading and Camberley). This opportunity allows for someone that wants to be able to put their own input in to building the HR platform for this business in collaboration with both the senior stakeholders and management team. You will be offered autonomy to develop the HR function with a view of this person being the head of HR within a few years.
HR Advisor – About The Role
This opportunity will be involved with change and transformation of this growing SME and as such will be offering a generalist role with some key projects to focus on over the forthcoming months which include employee relationships and employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Creating employee engagement initiatives, including employee survey feedback – identifying areas of improvement for the business
- Onboarding of new staff
- Build and maintain strong productive relationships with managers and attend meetings as required
- Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
- Interpret and advise on employment legislation, creating legislation and policies in line with any updates
- First point of contact for all employees on site to answer queries in relation to their employment in a competent, respectful and confidential manner, providing a comprehensive generalist HR resource
- Support with HR projects and initiatives
- Presenting MI on key metrics across the business in relation to employee engagement, retention etc
- Benefits management – to include benchmarking reviews and maintenance
- Partner with the management team on recruitment, training and development
- Involvement in creating reward schemes
- Talent Management
The successful HR Advisor will have:
- 2 years’ experience in HR
- CIPD
- Ability to commute to Reading and Camberley
