Disaster Recovery Analyst About the job We are looking for a IT Disaster Recovery Analyst who will support the BC/DR Manager in planning and over-seeing IT DR Testing across all platforms. We're looking for someone who is able to work on their own initiative as well as delivering improvements that will provide a more robust IT DR service. The Disaster Recovery Analyst is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from home and from our Halifax office. What would you be responsible for in this role?
• Assist in ensuring that the Company’s objectives regarding IT-DR are met and that it fulfils its legal, contractual and business-related requirements.
• Looking for opportunities to continuously improve the IT-DR governance framework for IT and the UK business operations
• Assist in the creation, review and updates to the existing IT DR policies, procedures and runbooks including standardising documentation, streamlining processes and managing exceptions
• Identify and analyse the gaps and issues in current DR plans • Work with the Business Continuity team to review and maintain Business Impact
Analysis (BIA) documentation ensuring it provides clear guidance on DR processes and attainability
• Working in collaboration with the BC / DR Manager and Operational Resilience Manager by assisting business units with planning Operational Resilience tests across all locations at least annually.
• Act as the single point of contact for all client, audit and internal stakeholder requests for Disaster Recovery including the provision of test evidence
• Provide subject matter expertise in Disaster Recovery to projects and changes implemented in the organisation
What would we like to see in you?
• Good knowledge of IT environment / solution plans and strategies • Strong knowledge of modern disaster recovery technologies (vMWare - Veeam and
Zerto) • Knowledge of Operational Risk management and its application in relation to Disaster
Recovery and Business Continuity • Process focussed with the ability to interpret technical information into business
friendly language • Detail orientated with strong documentation skills • Influencing, leadership and negotiating skills • Stakeholder management and engagement
• Ability to assist in the resolution of customer related technical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical issues with customers and stakeholders. • Discretion and initiative in dealing with matters of a confidential or sensitive nature.
