Regional Manager's Thoughts

The Comet has been trading as a Beacon Managed Tenancy for over five years and has successfully built a loyal following in the local community. The introduction of a homecooked menu offering can potentially develop sales further. Having a good level of participation with community activity and entertainment is essential. Publicans should be the centre of the community and need to keep abreast of events in the local area.

Surrounding Area

The pub is located a short distance from the bustling town centre in a densely populated residential area. It is surrounded by a mixture of privately owned and local authority housing. There is a primary school and college nearby and a bus stop opposite the pub and a small parade of shops lies adjacent to The Comet which includes a small supermarket, takeaways and hairdressers
