Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive French lessons to students across various age groups
• Develop and implement appropriate teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students
• Assess and evaluate students' progress regularly, providing timely feedback and support to ensure their ongoing development
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active student participation and a love for language learning
• Collaborate with the modern languages department to develop and enhance curriculum materials and resources
• Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed of students' progress and addressing any concerns or questions
• Participate in professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest educational practices and pedagogical approaches

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in French Language and/or Modern Languages Education
• Proven experience teaching French at primary or secondary level
• Deep knowledge and understanding of the French language and culture
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and connect with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of students
• High level of organization and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
• Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love for language learning in students
• Familiarity with the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
