Job description

SF Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a high growth, private equity backed business based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. This business have been on a significant growth journey in recent year and as a result are looking to recruit a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to help drive the next phase of growth. As the Finance Business Partner you will have a high level of exposure to the board and will be a key point of contact from a Finance perspective producing budgets and forecasts, advising internal stakeholders and provide financial models to support business decisions.

The successful Finance Business Partner will be able to demonstrate a high level of analytical ability, posses the necessary communication and influencing skills to liaise with the board as well as have excellent excel ability to produce financial models. Key requirements of the Finance Business Partner are to be fully ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified, ideally have experience in a PE backed business as well as having proven experience in a commercially focused role.

Responsibilities Include:

Reporting

- Reviewing and analysing commercial performance
- Working with the Management Accountant to produce the monthly business performance pack
- Preparing bank reports including quarterly covenant compliance certificates
- Identify and measure key success drivers
- Tracking development project progress against capex plans

Planning

- Working with various department managers to drive the annual budgeting process
- Preparing forecasts and projections as the business develops
- Support business planning by providing financial analysis and modelling

Business support

- Providing finance and business support to operational staff, supporting decision making with data and insight
- Supporting with fee negotiations with customers
- Supporting with tenders and customer contract management
- Contributing to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall finance function

Requirements:

- CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
- Highly IT literate, comfortable operating and learning new systems
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt to a constantly changing environment Alongside salary, benefits include 25 days holiday, private healthcare, hybrid working (2 to 3 days in office) and flexible hours.
