Our client, a recently refurbished RCVS accredited practice in Runcorn, is looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join their team. Our client is committed to providing top-notch care to our furry patients and exceptional service to their cherished clients.
The practice boasts outstanding facilities, including separate cat and dog wards, and cutting-edge equipment such as X-Ray, Ultrasound, Abaxis in-house laboratory, ECG, and Pulse Oximeter. You will be joining a dynamic and experienced team of 5 Vets (3 FT, 2 PT), 6 Nursing Staff (comprising qualified, SVN's, and ACA), and 6 Receptionists/Administrators.
As Head Veterinary Nurse you will be at the heart of the practice, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care. Your responsibilities will be diverse and engaging, including collaborating closely with Veterinary Surgeons, conducting Nurse clinics and appointments, mentoring nursing assistants and student veterinary nurses and providing invaluable advice to clients on general pet healthcare.
Ideally, our client is seeking a candidate with prior Clinical Coach experience to support the SVN's within this Accredited Training Practice for Student Nurses. Leadership experience would be a distinct advantage, and they wholeheartedly support further study to foster your professional development.
To thrive in this role, you must be RCVS registered and fully qualified. Ideally, you should also have a driver's license and access to a vehicle.

The Role:
• Full Time role - 37.5 hours per week
• Monday - Friday between 8.30am and 7pm working a 4/5 day week
• 1:6 Saturdays (8.30am - 4pm) with TOIL
• 1:8 weekends at their sister hospital working 9am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday and a share of bank holidays
• No OOH
