About the Opportunity:

We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a global organisation offering excellence in manufacturing solutions for the aerospace market.

We are presenting an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join their friendly and supportive Quality department in Romford.

The Quality Control Inspector will take responsibility for verifying the conformity of parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, the Quality Management System, and specific customer requirements.

You will conduct visual and dimensional checks using manual equipment and CMM machines and identify and document non-conformances, ensuring detailed completion of inspection records to achieve full traceability.

Reporting into the Lead Quality Control Inspector, you will support in creating and reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), assist in problem solving quality concerns and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience within the aerospace sector, or other quality critical sectors such as medical.
• Experience with goods inward inspection of finished products / components.
• Experience with sheet metal / fabricated parts.
• Familiar with a variety of inspection gauges and measuring equipment, experience with CMM would be advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of FAIR documentation would be beneficial.
• Hold a relevant qualification i.e., City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good numerical skills, able to work with figures and make measurement calculations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
• Able to work within tight time scales whilst maintaining and promoting quality standards.
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Live within a commutable distance to the offices in Romford.
