**Linisher**

Mon-Friday:08:00-16:00

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Surface Preparation:**

Inspect metal components for imperfections, burrs, or rough edges.

Determine the appropriate linishing or grinding techniques based on the type of metal and finish requirements.

**Linisher Setup:**

Set up and adjust linishing machines or grinding equipment according to job specifications.

Ensure proper selection of abrasive belts or grinding wheels for specific tasks.

**Metal Finishing:**

Operate linishing machines to smooth, shape, and finish metal surfaces.

Achieve specified surface roughness and smoothness as per project requirements.

**Deburring:**

Remove burrs, sharp edges, or excess material from metal components.

Ensure that the linishing process results in a uniform and clean appearance.

**Quality Control:**

Conduct visual inspections to assess the quality of finished metal surfaces.

Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the linishing process.

**Tool Maintenance:**

Perform routine maintenance on linishing machines, including changing abrasive belts and maintaining proper tension.

Report any machine malfunctions or the need for repairs.

**Safety Compliance:**

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.

Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices.

**Collaboration:**

Work closely with other craftsmen, welders, or fabricators to ensure seamless integration into the production process.

Communicate effectively to coordinate workflow and address any issues.

**Documentation:**

Maintain accurate records of linishing activities, including materials used and hours worked.

Complete required documentation for quality assurance and project tracking.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

Proven experience as a Linisher or in a similar role within metal fabrication.

Proficient in operating linishing machines and understanding various abrasive materials.

Knowledge of different metals and their properties regarding linishing processes.

Attention to detail and the ability to achieve precise and consistent finishes.

Strong problem-solving skills for addressing surface imperfections.

**Education and Certifications:**

High school diploma or equivalent.

Vocational training or certification in metalworking or linishing is advantageous.

**Physical Requirements:**

Ability to lift and move metal components.

Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a metalworking environment.
