About Our Client

My client is a financial services business with these offices based in Whiteley, but also with 7 other offices in Europe and one in the US.

Job Description

• Assist with all aspects of accounting matters, including the accounting of all transactions, and the preparation of quarterly reports and statutory financial statements
• Assist with the completion of investor, client and audit queries
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide supporting documentation evidencing transactions
• Prepare drawdown and distribution calculations plus notices on an ad hoc basis when requested by clients
• Maintain accurate records on eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of bookkeeping
• Prepare and input payments for routine expenses, investment transactions and distributions to investors
• Assist and support the induction, integration and training of Trainee staff

The Successful Applicant

• The candidate will be expected to be studying towards a relevant professional qualification (preferably having commenced ACCA Fundamental Skills level or ACA Professional level)
• Computer literacy skills are essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Sound technical financial services knowledge (to be support through the firm's internal Academy)
• Some previous experience of training or mentoring junior staff is beneficial

The role would be ideal for a 1st time mover from Chartered Accountancy, or indeed someone already working in commerce and industry, with strong financial reporting skills.
