Job description
We are currently recruiting for a market leader in the design, engineering, and production of composite materials and metals.
Our client provides end-to-end solutions to clients in Formula One, Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Marine and R&D industries with the feather in its cap of having been a key supplier to more than half of the Formula One World Champions over the past two decades. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the key function of a CAM Programmer is the manufacture of highly complex components in a fast-paced environment working within the Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport and Marine fields. Using
Siemens NX CAM for the programming of patterns, plastic, composite and metallic NC programmes in-line with internal manufacturing best-practices and procedures.
Main Duties: - Offline programming using Siemens NX CAM
- Create and validate 3 and 5 axis programmes and supporting documentation.
- Complete NC programmes for 3, 4 and 5-axis machines for a production environment
- Provide assistance to machine operators and recommendations to Manufacturing Engineers allowing optimization of machining processes and machine tool capabilities.
Technical Skillset: - Experience of Siemens NX is preferred but not essential.
- Experience programming complex 5 axis parts.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Personal Qualities - Experience of Siemens NX is required.
