Description Overview
As a Waste & General Duties Operative you will be required to carry out day to day waste and general duties as defined by the site Waste Management Team Leader, ensuring that the necessary standards are met and operating in line with company policy, procedures, and legislation. You must be capable of delivering a high level of customer service and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Scope of the Role
- Collection, storage, and disposal of all aspects of waste generated at the Braunton site.
- Cleanliness of external areas. This will include but not limited to waste function areas.
- Maintaining and adhering to standard working practices.
- Completing Waste Transfer Notes (WTN) and Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes (HWCN)
- Delivery, collection, and segregation of pallets.
- To undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time to support the Perrigo business.
Experience Required
- Good knowledge of Waste and Recycling streams and European Waste Codes (EWC).
- Fork lift truck licence desirable.
- C.O.S.H.H awareness.
- Team working skills.
- Certain level of dexterity.
- Awareness of busy Production departments.
