Job description
Senior Technical Officer needed in Cambridge.
The rate is £23.03ph PAYE
This is a temporary role

The successful candidate will carry out the full range of duties of a Senior Technical Officer from basic investigations/inspections to the most complex cases in relation to the assigned work team/work area – namely Commercial, Residential, Licensing and Enforcement, and Environmental Quality and Growth and to act as the specialist lead in that work area
Inspect the district to which s/he is assigned to keep informed of the environmental health circumstances therein; analysis of complex areas of work, problem solve, make complex decisions and take appropriate action and to liaise with the officers in their team and EHO’s/TO’s in other teams/work areas as necessary.
Make the necessary arrangements to plan and undertake the agreed work programmed in liaison with the relevant line manager and in accordance with the service standards and quality criteria set by the service.
