Job description

Reputable sub-contract machining company are looking for CNC Lathe Operator to join their long-established team in Redditch.  Offered as a permanent contract, with competitive pay rate based on experience. One role as CNC Lathe Operator will be on the Sliding Head machines, the other on the Milling. The ideal candidate will hold experience in either of these and previous Milling/ Drilling/ Turning skills.

Previous CNC experience is essential to fulfil the position of CNC Lathe Operator. Within this role you will be offered overtime, free car parking and company pension.

Duties and responsibilities of CNC Lathe Operator

• Operate Miyano BNJ Fanuc control, Miyano BNE Mitsubishi control and Miyano BNE with Mitsibishi controls
• Maintain set change offsets and inserts
• Ability to do simple change overs would be advantageous
• Using measuring gauges
• To produce components within the agreed standard time
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Working to tight tolerances and in process measurements
• High precision tolerance works as well as volume
• Quality control, working to customer specification

Location: Redditch
Hours of Work: Backshift - 14:00 – 22:00 Monday – Thursday / 12:00 – 20:00 Friday
Salary: £13 - £14.50 per hour, dependent upon experience
