Your new company
You will work for a leading public sector organisation based in Derry. This is a contracted role for 12 months, with possible extension depending on business needs. You will work at least 3 days in the office and 2 at home.
Your new role The Staff Officer Accountant will support the DP Accountant in the production of the monthly management accounts for the Department. Specific duties will include.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Wages and salaries reconciliations.
- Assisting with the preparation of the cash forecasting for the department.
- Assisting with the production of interim and final resource accounts.
- Co-ordinating FoI requests and Assembly Questions when required.
- Preparation and agreement of WGA transactions and balances and input into the Oscar system.
What you\'ll need to succeed - Have successfully passed the final professional examinations and be a full, current member of one of the accountancy professional bodies;
- Financial/Management Accounting Skills;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- The ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines;
- Team working skills;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
