Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £37,000 - £41,000 (Paid hourly) - Shifts & Overtime available
Location: Workington, Cumbria
Hours of work: 39 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Relevant Time Served Qualification in Fabrication or welding or minimum 3 years shop floor experience
- Welding ability: MIG/MAG TiG weld
- Experienced in the fabrication of carbon steel and stainless steel
- Material preparation - grinding, burring, dressing
- Heavy engineering experience
Role information:
- Participate in team activities, utilising appropriate process, technical and engineering skills to achieve manufacturing, quality and service targets.
- Actively contributes to all team activities aimed at improving plant performance through implementation of continuous improvement , problem solving, team building and personal self-development.
- Suggest improvements to plant, process and operating procedures.
- Reacts to process, engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilises the knowledge, experience and skills of own and other team members to initiate corrective action.
- Operates flexibility and safely within the team carrying out activities under direction of the team leader within area of competence, capability and training.
- Contributes to initiatives related to improving health and safety performance, taking an active part in risk assessment/hazard identification for all operational activities and taking account of appropriate COMAH regulations.
