Construction Quality Director – UK and EMEA
We have a specialist opening for one of our leading Global Data Centre clients.
UK based but must be willing to travel across EMEA 
Ideally Bilingual in English and Germany (but not essential)

Our clients Global Data Center EMEA team is responsible for the construction, design, commissioning and operation of many Data Center projects and facilities across the EMEA region and in the UK
·      We are looking for someone who comes from a Data Center Construction background and has a STRONG QA / QC bias.
·      The ability to sit at the top of an established team that is planned to grow over the next financial year – increased headcount – increased direct reports.
·      Ideally a Senior professional who is coming from a Data Center client direct or General Contracting organisation and background – with a demonstrative experience of managing Multiple project portfolios and of structuring QMS / QA / QC processes across all projects
·      An individual who can demonstrate between 5- and 10-years MEP experience within the critical Environments, Data Center Construction sector.
·      This individual can come from the UK or from across the EMEA region but ideally based in one of several countries but must speak business English and be willing to travel.
·      The Construction Quality Director is accountable for the development, implementation and performance of an industry best practice QA/QC and defects resolution program and teams across the Global & EMEA Data Center Construction and Fit Out project portfolio.
·      The position requires a self-motivated, senior leader with the ability and appetite to develop a world class delivery organisation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities for the position
•           Develop and govern the Global & EMEAs QA/QC program, standards, and processes for Data Center Construction and Fit Out projects across the region
•           Assess, approve, and audit General/Prime Contractor Project Quality Plans, processes, and reports, ensuring consistent compliance with the above Client, Quality standards and procedures
•          Implement and manage site level elemental QA/QC procedures and reporting tools to drive pre-emptive resolution and reduction of quality issues during the general construction and commissioning stages
•           Implement elemental QA/QC acceptance structures, protocols and quality gates that enable “clean” construction handoffs at both the commissioning and operational handover stages across the program
•           Define Benchmark and Mock-Up best practice guidelines and training for external and internal stakeholders and staff
•           Provide technical support to construction, commissioning and operational teams during construction and handover phase, Including providing support to RCA development and subsequent resolution plans
•           Own and report on regional and project quality metrics and KPIs, providing quantitative and qualitative analysis and defining opportunities for continuous improvement across the program
•           Support OFCI/CFCI vendor and General/Prime contractor performance assessments
•           Accountable for development of the Data Center EMEA’s QA/QC program, including but not limited to pre-emptive Quality assurance processes and procedures
•           Drive development and adoption of a structured and consistent QA/QC software platform across the region
•           Manage and develop a team of subject matter expert QA/QC teams
•           Responsible for the Defects management program during the warranty term post-handover of construction projects
•           Support development and compliance with offsite quality management systems and protocols, including but not limited to FATs, FWTs.

Individual Profile Match
•           Demonstrate proven mission critical, preferably Data Center, construction experience and be able to support this up with some case studies
•           Have extensive experience in a QA/QC management role within the construction industry, overseeing a portfolio of concurrent projects and manage a large workload
•           Have experience in operating at a senior management level and ability to present to senior leadership both internally and within the Clients Teams
•           Have experience in managing and developing remote teams, working across a number of countries
•           Hold a leadership position within the region and drive close stakeholder alignment with peer delivery teams, creating a positive and transparent working environment
•           Excellent project management experience and skillset, with the ability to operate within a multi-cultural environment
•           Proficient in the use of quality management software, tools and processes
•           Fluency in English required, German an advantage but not essential
•           Possess excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate complex and high-pressure environments
•           Develop and foster a strong sense of ownership within the delivery team, drive and maintain industry best practice design and construction standards in planning in delivery of Data Center projects
