The Governors at St. Mary’s RC Primary School are looking for an excellent Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their hardworking and dedicated staff team. The position would be flexible across the school working with groups of children in and out of the classroom and 1-1 provision providing support for children with SEN/ EHCP’s.

St. Mary’s R.C Primary is a lovely, happy and friendly school where everyone is welcome. We were rated ‘Good’ in our last Ofsted inspection and ‘Good’ in our last Section 48 RE Inspection. You should be highly motivated, flexible and adaptable.

The successful candidate will have:

- The ability to inspire and engage with children

-Experience of working either as a Teaching Assistant or with groups of children, preferably recent experience working within Key Stage 2

-Good Numeracy and Literacy skills, at least a level 2 NVQ or GCSE level A*-C (English and Maths)

-The ability to form good relationships with children and staff

-The ability to follow direction but also to have initiative and take the lead

-The ability to be flexible and well organised

-uphold and support the Catholic faith and values
