Design Engineer £35,000 per annum, Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm – Fridays early finish on a Friday, Permant position, no weekend working, growing business

Location of the Design Engineer Position: Tamworth

A market leading, manufacturing business in Tamworth require a Design Engineer to join their team as the business continue to make strides forward in their industry. The company have multiple sites and operate in a clean modern working environment.

Duties of the Design Engineer Position

Taking the initial brief from the customer and working through the initial concept all the way through to the approval stage.

Once the approval is signed off , full production drawings including BOMs ready to go to the programming stage of the process for full production roll-out.

• Liaising with Sales/project team and clients to take project brief
• Designing concept models from brief, ready for customer sign off
• Carrying out full 3D design of concept to the point of releasing fabrication drawings and ready for programming
• Draughting full manufacturing drawings ready for release to the workshop teams
• Creating Bill of Materials, audit trails and releases of design/product changes
• Liaising with internal manufacturing team to resolve any production issues.

Benefits of the Design Engineer position

• Salary/Package: Up to £35,000 per annum (Dependant on experience).
• Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm – Early finish on a Friday
• Holidays: 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
