Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrically biased Multi Skilled Technician based in Sunderland.
The Multi Skilled Technician will receive a salary of between £40,000 and £42,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays and competitive company pension.
The role is Day shift only 8am - 4:30pm and early finishes on a Friday.
Your daily tasks as a Multi Skilled Technician will include conducting routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions, and collaborating with the broader team to achieve our production goals. Additionally, your role extends to facility and electrical maintenance, encompassing a comprehensive approach to keeping our operations running smoothly. Through your technical prowess and commitment to safety, you will be instrumental in maintaining a high standard of operational excellence within our manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Equipment and Facility Maintenance
- Fault Diagnosis with effective root cause analysis
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Recommend and implement safety improvements to machinery, electrical systems, and facility processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Suggest and implement efficiency improvements in maintenance and production processes.
Education:- Qualification to HNC level in electrical or multiskilled maintenance
- Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2022 is desirable
- Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations is desirable
Experience:- Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems. Skills:
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent maintenance troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Detailed knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley / Siemens) and control circuits
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Lean Manufacturing, including 5S, autonomous / preventative maintenance and kaizen.
