General Function :
The eCommerce Manager, Fulfillment Center is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end fulfillment operations of our e-commerce business, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. This stockholder position assists the Director with all aspects of the Aisles Online fulfillment process including automation and manual order picking, replenishment, and logistics; overall operation of the Fulfillment Center, and providing leadership to employees. The Assistant Director maintains communication with the management team and employees, and participates in recruiting, hiring, orientation, and training of employees.

Direct Reports: Fulfillment center employees
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage and optimize the e-commerce fulfillment process from order receipt to delivery.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows to maximize productivity and minimize order processing time.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team capabilities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to achieve common goals.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure accuracy in inventory tracking and reconciliation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in e-commerce fulfillment.
- Identify and implement new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices to reduce errors and improve overall order fulfillment accuracy.
- Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people.
- Ensures food safety guidelines are followed and complies with the person-in-charge sanitation training as determined by the governmental regulatory agencies.
- Completes employee performance reviews and participates in productivity reviews.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment and the cleanliness of the facility.
- Responsible for safe, timely, and efficient delivery of products to customers.
- Addresses delivery concerns and takes appropriate action to ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Maintains operations in accordance with Hy-Vee’s policies, fulfillment center guidelines, and procedure manual, Code of Ethics, and any applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pursues educational opportunities and ensures the same for employees.
- Assists in all areas of the warehouse as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Instructing, assigning work, reviewing work, planning the work of others, maintaining standards, allocating personnel, and coordinating the activities of others. Selects new employees and acts on employee problems. Has the authority to recommend and approve employee transfers, promotions, discipline, discharge, and salary adjustments.
Education and Experience:
High School or equivalent experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to physically perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
- Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
- Must have the ability to use logical or scientific thinking to solve problems and with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Must have the ability to do arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations.
- Must be able to report, write, or edit articles for publication; prepare and deliver presentations; interview, counsel or advise people; evaluate technical data.
Working Conditions :
This position is exposed to dust, noise, and temperature extremes. There are possible equipment movement hazards, electrical shock, and exposure to chemicals and solvents. This is a fast-paced work environment.
Equipment Used to Perform Job:
Box cutter, cash registers, knives, trash compactor, cardboard compactor, computer, calculator, telephone, register system, company vehicles (delivery vans and trucks), copier/scanner, RPM, Warehouse Management System, and Microsoft Office suite.
Financial Responsibility :
Authorized to purchase merchandise for resale and authorize expenditures for operating expenses (within limitations of company policy).
Contacts:
Has daily contact with customers, employees, suppliers/vendors, and customers. Has occasional contact with federal or state regulatory agencies regarding inspections.
Confidentiality :
Has access to confidential information including sales reports, profit and loss reports, wages, and employee files.
