Job description
Veterinary Surgeon
Luton Full time or Part time Luton Vets4Pets are looking for a Vet to join their long standing, supportive team and achieve all their career goals. Mark and our other colleagues at the Luton practice are looking for a Veterinary surgeon to join their team and help them continue to provide the excellent standards of care to all their patients. They have worked hard to develop a nurturing culture that has seen many of its staff not only join and stay with the stand alone practice over 10 years but progress in their careers with examples such as VCA to Head Nurse! To achieve this the practice has a robust team in place, this is made up of Mark the JVP with over 25 years' experience in the industry and 3 other Vets. They are supported by 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 3 VCAs, 4 receptionists and a very experienced Customer Care Manager. All our colleagues are passionate about patient care and high standards, and they have great pride in where they work. Our Veterinary team believe in a no judgement work environment and always conduct ward rounds in mornings to go through all patients care and often have clinical meetings to discuss matters. There are mixed skills within the team with our JVP holding a Surgery Certificate. Here you will be highly encouraged to undertake CPD or certificates that will help you achieve your Veterinary career goals and the care the colleagues can provide. Luton practice is RCVS accredited and cat friendly and has separate cat and dog wards. It has 4 spacious consult rooms, a theatre, prep, diagnostic room, and fully stocked pharmacy. The practice also benefits from having a new Ultrasound, video endoscope, digital x-ray, full IDEXX in house laboratory, K-Laser blood pressure machine and multiparameter monitor. The role itself can be considered as full or part time as our colleagues truly believe in creating a real work life balance for all. What you could expect from a typical full-time role in our Luton practice would be 20-minute consults with a 4 day week Monday to Friday, with the excellent addition of an early finish day. The weekend rota is also Saturday 9am to 4pm with a 1: 3 rota. To enhance your work life balance there are no Sundays, no OOH and no Sole charge working! However, if you are looking for part time hours the practice is also very happy to discuss options. So not only is this practice in a great and very commutable location it offers the right candidate real progression opportunities including partnership / part ownership, so if you are looking for that step this one is not to miss.
