Permanent – Part Time – 8 hours per week (Saturday 9am – 1pm, Sunday 9am – 1pm)
Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, we have been supporting older people for over 100 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.
The Lawn is a beautiful Georgian period home in the rural village of Holybourne, Hampshire. The building has been sympathetically modernised to meet the needs of all our residents and we have a dedicated, well-trained and compassionate team of staff that care for our residents.
Joining us as Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for a high standard of efficiency and cleanliness of household and residents’ personal laundry.

You will help run our laundry service.
You will wash, iron, label and distribute laundry.
You will ensure that soiled and infectious laundry is stored correctly.
You will name residents’ personal laundry as required.
You will distribute laundry to residents’ rooms as required.
You will order and ensure a regular supply of detergent and fabric conditioner.
You will maintain the privacy and dignity of the residents whilst in their rooms.
Self-motivated and resilient, a team player who is willing to go the extra mile, you will take pride in your work, allowing the residents to feel comfortable in their home. Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety would be beneficial but by no means essential. No prior experience is needed, as we will give you all the training you will need to excel in this role!
