This is an exceptional opportunity to join an intellectually vibrant, collegiate and multi-disciplinary group of scholars oriented towards critical inquiry and the development of world-class research-led teaching.

We seek a Professor in Business and Commercial Law to bring high-level research leadership and expertise to enhance our culture and contribute to the School’s Law programmes, with a particular focus on the continued success of our PGT offering. The area of specialization is in Business and Commercial Law, widely framed, but applications from candidates with research profiles that complement our existing strengths in company law, corporate governance and insolvency law will be most welcome. You will join an engaged, active research team to provide strategic leadership in relation to developing Lancaster Law School’s research culture and to enhancing our thriving research environment. You will pursue research and publications at a level appropriate for a strong submission to the next REF.

You will contribute to the School’s taught modules as required and you will be expected to supervise undergraduate and PGT students, attracting and supervising a range of PGR students in your area.
