Field Service Engineer

We have partnered with a market leader within the Tray Pooling industry who are on the look out for an experienced electrical and mechanical technician to lead the technical management across three sites in the UK. This new position will provide a unique opportunity to join an established European company who are opening their first automated depots in the UK to provide support services to its Retailer and Supplier customer base.

Purpose of the Job

Execute the maintenance plans and repair the technical and washing installations across multiple sites in the most efficient way, so that the technical condition of the washing installation is optimal and can be used by the end-users in a safe way. Providing all kinds of logistical and technical support for the site-based teams.

Salary:

• £40,000 – £42,000 (DOE)

Field Service Engineer – Responsibilities Include:

· Maintaining all technical and washing installations

· Prepare and complete maintenance plans for multiple sites across the UK

· Leading the implementation of maintenance plans per site ensuring all actions are completed

· Pro-actively making proposals regarding cost reductions, consumption, efficiency and safety

· Regular site meetings with management and technicians to identify reoccurring issues and prepare resolutions

· Flexible and available to attend site for major breakdowns (next day if after 4pm)

· Administrative follow up

· Stock management of parts and tools, ensuring the Maintenance Management System is completed accurately

· Complete orders and source cost-effective suppliers

· Documentation and implementation of efficient maintenance plans

Field Service Engineer – Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desired:

· Experienced in executing maintenance tasks on automation and conveying equipment

· Secondary education/Bachelor’s degree in Electricity, Mechanics, Electro-Mechanics or equivalent level of education and training

· Experience of coaching and training teams

· Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressured environment

· Competent IT skills, including Microsoft office – Word/Excel/Outlook
