Our client is a global organisation with a vision to create a clean and energy-efficient future by delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for the automotive market who are looking for a specialist to join them as a Supplier Quality Continuous Improvement Lead
The Quality Continuous Improvement Lead will be responsible of effectively and efficiently implement and manage activities for the Supply Quality Assurance (SQA) across the assigned region.
Key roles and responsibilities for the Quality Continuous Improvement Lead
- Evaluate and manage customer complaints by taking necessary action to resolve including
escalation to Supplier Quality team when required.
- Support and enable the effective evaluation of potential and/or existing suppliers to predict and
ensure the quality of delivered products and/or processes.
- Enable supporting corrective action systems to support existing suppliers in the event of quality escapes. Support and continuously manage the reduction of warranty.
- Effectively partner with functional team members such as: Engineering: Support launch,
product/process review, Customer Concerns, Managing PRRs, Quality Stock, etc.
- Warranty cost avoidance
- Perform as a team leader/manager of direct personnel (Warranty team) to insure skillset
development and effective succession planning.
- Design and develop goals, objectives, and performance plans. Evaluate accordingly. Manage/Retain and Recruit as needed Warranty personnel.
- Support and enable the continuous improvement of all relevant business, production and supplier
processes via value stream analysis and design and implementation of Standard Work
- Achieving targeted value-added savings through focused process/product improvements
- Environmental Compliance Manage and allocate duties and responsibilities to the relevant department and/or external supplier to ensure compliance to all relevant regulations
- In the above functions, be able to prioritize key issues and enable rapid problem-solving analysis
- and permanent corrective action leveraging Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.
- Effectiveness results include systematic control and continued improvement of KPIs
Expected skills & competencies for the Quality Continuous Improvement Lead
- Industry experience within a similar role ideally from within the automotive industry but other industry experience will be considered.
- Experience and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques
- Basic understanding of Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Creative thinking and problem solving
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
