Cast UK are supporting Swissport International Limited. A well-established airport group services and air cargo handling company with the recruitment process of a General Manager for Manchester Airport.
As the General Manager, you will be Primarily responsible for strategic and operational management, reporting to the Director of Ground Operations and be responsible for the successful delivery of operations at Manchester.
You will be benchmarked against the Swissport Senior Leadership Competencies of Driving Transformation, Coaching and Developing Others, applying commercial Acumen, Owning Business Opportunities, Establishing Direction and Executing and getting Sustainable Results.
Responsibilities
Health and Safety - To implement and monitor all safety and security measures
P&L Management - Deliver against P&L targets and analyse financial and operational performance
Leadership and Stakeholder Management - To lead, guide, evaluate, and develop a team with operational responsibilities
Business Growth and Strategy - Develop and enhance the customer relationship at an operational level
Relationship Builder - Build relationships and trust within the business, with particular emphasis on the Station Manager peer group and Business unit Heads, plus relevant central support functions (eg, Finance, HR and QHSE)
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years' experience with significant P&L accountability and leadership of large teams.
Be able to build positive and trusting relationships.
Embrace an ideas culture to enable teams to create an agile edge
Demonstrate a sense of urgency and the desire to improve the delivery of services and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
Excellent working knowledge of business management principles and practices, financial concepts, and key drivers of profitability and operational performance delivery.
