About the role

As a Commercial Account Executive, your role is critical in providing our customers with a personal service that delivers positive outcomes. By understanding their unique needs, you will develop and maintain strong relationships, identify suitable insurance solutions and ensure exceptional service throughout the journey. Your focus on delivering a positive customer experience will contribute to the success and reputation of the Winchester and Wickham Agency.

Personal Customer Service

Your primary responsibility will be to provide customers with a personal service that exceeds their expectations. By taking time to understand their businesses, risks and objectives you will build strong relationships based on trust and mutual understanding. Through effective communication and proactive support, you will ensure that our customers feel valued, informed and confident in their insurance coverage.

Needs Assessment and Solution Development

You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive renewal reviews to identify the specific insurance requirements of each customer. By analysing their risk and exposure, you will develop tailored insurance solutions that provide adequate coverage and address their unique needs. Your expertise in Commercial Insurance products and market trends will enable you to recommend suitable insurance.

Relationship Management

Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers will be a key aspect of your role. Regular client meetings, proactive communication, and effective account management will contribute to customer loyalty, high levels of retention and referrals.

Presentation

Prepare and present insurance proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and provide accurate quotations to customers, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Regulatory Performance

Meeting the minimum regulatory requirements as set out by the Agency and the NFU Mutual is of the utmost importance to the Agency. These regulations are put in place to protect customers and maintain the integrity of the Agency. By adhering to these requirements, you’ll demonstrate professionalism, transparency and accountability. Compliance within the framework is vital in building trust, maintaining the Agency’s reputation, and fostering a healthy and sustainable business environment.

Growth By understanding our customers you’ll be responsible for identifying additional opportunities and developing leads for risk management solutions and financial services products. We aim to deliver holistic insurance programmes, risk management tools and assist our policyholders in achieving their long-term financial objectives, as a Commercial Account Executive you play an integral part in achieving this.

Teamwork In this role, teamwork and collaboration towards common goals are of utmost importance. As a dedicated team player, you’ll actively engage with colleagues, underwriters and other stakeholders within the NFU Mutual Network to ensure a unified approach towards achieving our objectives. By adopting open communication and promoting a culture of trust and respect, you’ll be integral in a collaborative work environment where all perspectives and contributions are valued. You’ll seek to align individual strengths and expertise with the team’s collective capabilities, leveraging diverse skill sets to drive performance.

About you

Proven track record in sales or account management within the General Insurance industry, ideally within commercial lines.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with customers, underwriters and internal teams.
Professional qualifications such as Certificate of Insurance (Cert CII) are desirable but not essential.
Pro-active, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
