25 Hours (Mon to Fri 8.30 to 1.30pm) permanent Salary amounts quoted are from 1 Sep – 31 Aug and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment. Grade E. Actual salary (£13,162 - £14,340) Depending on length of service Term time only + 4 days We require a Catering Unit Manager who has the skill, drive, and passion to lead a small catering teams and deliver the highest quality of food and service, they must be able to deliver a high standard of presentation and food quality. For many years we have run a highly successful school catering service which is a key part of our core provision. South Street kitchen for approximately 140 pupils each day providing a choice mid-day two course meal. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our enthusiastic and hardworking team as Unit Catering Manager The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of a safe, healthy and high-quality catering service to the school, which is within budget and to customer satisfaction. This will include all aspects of food preparation, cooking and food service, kitchen and dining area hygiene and other duties associated with food service operations; as well as providing a supportive environment for the ongoing development of existing staff. You will lead and inspire a small team of catering assistants working various hours. We offer excellent facilities and equipment and a bright and open dining spaces. You would be enthusiastic to supporting theme events in schools, meeting parents and promoting the service to help increase meal uptake, whilst meeting the requirements of School Food Standards. The successful candidate will have experience of providing excellent service in a similar catering role as well as level 2 qualification in Health and safety and a level 3 qualification in food safety. They will also have a qualification or equivalent in food preparation and cooking, as well as a level 2 in allergen awareness.
