A Vacancy at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.
We have an exciting opportunity of a CNS position at Meadow House hospice. The hospice provides a specialist palliative care service for the residents of Ealing and Hounslow. The Specialist Palliative Service comprises of a 15 bedded in-patient unit, allied health professionals and and a large community team. Patients will present with complex and specialist needs and the focus of their care will have changed from curative to palliative. The post-holder will have a strong clinical role evaluating individual patient needs including assessment, history taking and managing a patient caseload. The post-holder will be expected to exercise a high degree of personal professional autonomy and make critical judgments to satisfy the expectations and demands of the role. Key working relationships with primary care teams are essential using excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside a dynamic and motivated attitude. We require someone who can work both autonomously and as part of a team. Leadership, innovation, motivation and excellent communication skills are essential. You must have RGN level 1 with appropriate post registration qualifications and experience. You should have a first degree or be working towards this qualification and be committed to undertaking further study to meet service need.
