What you'll be doing

As a Commercial Director / Senior Commercial Manager with Balfour Beatty you will be responsible for the financial management of a number of major, complex projects from inception, tendering, negotiating and agreeing contracts to commercially delivering those projects often worth many tens of millions of pounds. You will be an integral part of the project senior leadership team where you will hold key responsibilities associated with the commercial and financial success of each project.

Who we're looking for

You will be an extremely experienced individual who has risen through the ranks of the industry and your role will includes anything from risk management to procurement, financial reporting and managing the supply chain. You will have proven skills in commercial awareness, client liaison, project management and team leadership. You will also have an extensive understanding of the construction industry, and a talent for negotiation.

Typically you will have a track record of managing and developing a commercial team and also be a Chartered Member or Fellow of the RICS, ICES or CIOB. You will also be and a mentor/role model to other commercial staff on their journey to becoming professionally qualified
