Job description

Robert Half is collaborating with a leading global engineering company in the search for a qualified Finance Director. This pivotal role will be based just outside of Edinburgh and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of the organisation.

The Finance Director will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the finance department's performance and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
• Directing budget preparation in collaboration with senior managers to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of management accounts and financial data through robust financial controls and reporting systems.
• Developing and driving business improvement strategies across the organisation.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify and implement cost-saving and revenue growth opportunities.
• Partnering with key internal and external stakeholders such as commercial, operations, group finance, and external audit partners.
• Providing leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Supporting the professional development of direct reports to enable career growth within the finance function.

Requirements:

• Qualified finance professional with ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
• Proven success in a senior finance role, showcasing strategic financial management skills.
• Previous experience working in a related industry
