Job description

Proman is looking for a Project Manager with experience in the design, manufacture, and installation of furniture.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of project management within the cabinet making and interior design sector, along with solid knowledge of the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Lead project teams effectively, ensuring precise communication across short, medium, and long-term projects.
• Oversee projects ranging from approximately £100k to £6m, meticulously planning and adhering to specified timelines.
• Identify and allocate resources, while ensuring accurate documentation and storage of project-related materials.
• Maintain accountability for team performance, facilitating smooth handovers, order fulfilment, and client sign-offs as per schedule.
• Provide weekly reports to the broader business on project activities and status.
• Manage project finances meticulously, including monthly reporting to the Commercial Director and handling of price variations due to design or specification changes.
• Anticipate project timeline requirements, ensuring timely procurement of specialist materials for manufacturing.
• Regularly communicate project timelines to client teams, ensuring compliance.
• Ensure the projects are run to all Health and safety requirement.

Requirements:

• Proven project management experience in the cabinet making/interior design industry.
• Familiarity with construction industry dynamics and coordination with other trades.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrating expertise in bespoke cabinet making and construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for reading and editing drawings for manufacturing purposes.
• Understanding of revenue models, profit/loss analysis, and forecasting.
• Ability to formulate, manage, and execute strategic plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant IT software.
• Strong strategic planning and organizational abilities.
• Motivational leadership and team management skills.

About the Position:

• Full-time position, 40 hours spread across 5 days.
• Permanent employment with a salary dependant on experience.
• Potential relocation package for suitable candidates.
