Our friendly Newton Abbot based client has an opportunity for a Part Time Accounts Assistant that offers the successful candidate just that working within a great, down to earth environment!

JOB TITLE: Part Time Accounts Assistant

LOCATION: Newton Abbot

SALARY: £24,000 (pro rata) / £12.30 per hour equivalent

HOURS: 24 hours per week - total flexibility in how the hours are worked!

THE COMPANY: A leading, down to earth engineering firm providing power solutions to clients across Devon and the South of the country. Working with various sectors including industrial, construction, marine and manufacturing.

THE ROLE: The Part Time Accounts Assistant will provide support to the Finance Controller and Directors in this highly successful and friendly engineering company. You will assist with the smooth running of day-to-day accounts functions, using your great attention to detail.

Key duties include confidently liaising with clients and customers within a timely fashion, purchase ledger, checking for discrepancies, general administration duties, and ensuring accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Maintenance of purchase ledger


• Dealing with supplier and customer queries within allotted timeframe


• Expenses


• Credit control


• Credit card reconciliations


• Ad hoc office tasks as required


• General administration for the department

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

• Previous purchase ledger experience


• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively


• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


• Attention to detail and accuracy key


• Strong IT skills, in particular MS Office and Excel programmes


• Ability to prioritise workload


• A positive and friendly attitude


• Great sense of humour
