Agility are delighted to be working with a fantastic employer based out of Nelson who are looking for an Assistant Accountant. The client offers job security after being around for over 65 years as well as the opportunity for study support.
What you will be doing:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assist with budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Manage weekly payroll of approx. 100 members of staff
- Assist with quarterly VAT returns.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset register
- Manage the sales ledger function from raising invoices to chasing payments
- Maintain cash books ensuring they are reconciled to bank accounts.
What you will have:
- Experience within accounts
- Ability to want to learn
- Good Excel Knowledge
- Ability to work within a team
- Strong written and verbal communication
In return you will receive:
- Base salary of £25,000-£30,000 DOE
- 22 days holiday + bank holidays
