Salary: £33,251 per annum

About the role
The role of the Team Manager is to provide leadership, development, and direction to ensure that the team provides the people our client supports with the services they need to lead a good life and achieve the things that are important to them and their families.
The Team Manager will be managing a team of 7 support staff working with four people who reside in a CQC registered, residential home and who are in receipt of a regulated care activity. The service is supported by a registered manager. The ideal candidate for the role will have extensive experience with working with adults with physical and multiple learning disabilities (must hold or working towards a L5 leadership and Management qualification and to ultimately be an inspiring leader.
Duties will include:
- Building great relationships with the people our client supports and the people important in their lives
- Establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with stakeholders and funders.
- Ensuring people are supported in everyday tasks in a respectful way that meets their individual needs and preferences and enables them to do as much as possible themselves; to give them as much choice, control, and involvement as possible.
- To develop and implement individual care plans; ensuring all plans and records relating to people our client supports are accurate and up to date
- Supervise, coach, and train colleagues in person-centred support practices, giving and acting on received feedback on what is going well and what is not going well.
- Ensuring the effective day to day management of colleagues inclusive of activity delegation, quality assurance, performance management and recruitment and selection as appropriate to the role
About you
To be a Team Manager, the following are essential:
- Experience in supporting people who have learning disabilities and/or autism or additional physical needs to become more active in their community
- Experience in mentoring/supervising/coaching others
- Person-centred working & developing person-centred support plans with individuals
- Enabling people with learning disabilities support needs to take positive risks in their lives.
- Understand the challenges that are likely to be faced by many people with disabilities support needs
- Knowledge of Safeguarding
