Job description

We are pleased to announce that we are currently recruiting for a Site Cleaner to work with our client in the Wallsend area on a potential long-term contract / Permanent basis.

With an immediate start working a Dayshift 42-hour week - Monday to Thursday - 07:00hrs - 16:00hrs and Friday - 07:00hrs - 15:30hrs. Hourly Pay rate would be £13.50 per hour.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of welfare facilities, and toilet facilities. Health, Safety and Hygiene is a key element to this role, the cleaner must be willing to take on a high volume of work whilst being motivated and working well under pressure.

• Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas.
• Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping.
• Carry out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks where required.
• Notify management of deficiencies or repairs required.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms.
• General Yard Clearance.
• Have a flexible approach to work and to assist in other departments, as and when required.

The successful candidate will have the following attributes or experience.
• Heavy engineering environment experience.
• A good level of physical fitness.
• High level of attention-to-detail.
• Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work.
• Positive and approachable manner.
• Team player qualities.
