Job Description Summary

The Inspector works closely with other members of the Warehouse & Logistics Team to ensure accurate  

and efficient material throughput (Dock to Stock) in support of manufacturing production cells. This role  

has a strong emphasis on Inspecting product in line with the company’s Quality Management System. 

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Support Receiving / Warehousing Team in daily Dock to Stock Processing.

• Accurately receive, verify, process and receipt goods to the business system

• Process inspection results in line with Quality database

• Inspect product for: FOD, Corrosion, Burrs, Paint Chips, Scratches & visible contamination as per drawing requirements

• Collaborate with Engineering / Supplier Quality / Sourcing

• Control material and documents in accordance with business Quality Procedures

• Review areas of perceived risk based on experience and non-conformance history

• Report and process any non-conforming parts in line with Quality procedures

Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience of inspecting Supplied Parts through a Quality Inspection tool.

• Ideally apprentice-trained in a mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent

• Experience in mechanical measuring and verification to drawings

• Experience in visual inspection of circuit boards and electronic components

• CMM use or alternative automated measuring applications

• Working knowledge of material handling requirements eg. ESD, HazMat, MSD

• Good attention to detail

• A flexible and adaptable to business requirements

• Appreciation of health and safety practice in the workplace

• PC literate - experienced in using various systems

• Confident in liaising with various key stakeholders (internal and external)

• Able to demonstrate an understanding of Aerospace Material Handling and controls
