Category Manager – Procurement – Local Authority - Chichester

9 month initial contract – likely to be extended

Rate of pay: £500 per day – depending on experience.

Remote Working – 1 day a week in the office

What we need from you:

-      The purpose of the role is to manage sub-categories across the category portfolio and collaborate with Directorates/Services and Category Lead to champion a new best practice commercial approach to external spend in order to deliver value for money outcomes and transform the ways services are delivered. 

-      You will develop and implement robust sub-category strategies for the category that optimises performance for the business in terms of cost, quality, delivery and responsiveness - sharing best practice guidance for the procurement of the relevant category, taking into consideration the full supplier lifecycle.

Must Have:

 

-          Public sector procurement (PCR2015) knowledge/experience - creating new Open, Restricted and ideally DPS and Framework tenders/contracts

-          Knowledge using GCloud, Govt Marketplace and related DPS/Frameworks
