Role: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Queenslie Industrial Estate, Glasgow (G33)

Salary: £24,000-£26,000

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 8am-3.30pm

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to perform various accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
• Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues with vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Assist with other accounting tasks and projects as needed

Are you right for this role?

• 1-5 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role is essential
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and team-oriented approach to work
