Join our client, a leading research and development organisation as a Communications Systems Engineer in Portsmouth, Hampshire, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting–edge technology and many of the industry s most brilliant minds.
As a Communications Systems Engineer you ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, undertake communications engineering design, development, system integration, and test and acceptance activities to support Maritime communication systems. You will be responsible for successfully applying current knowledge to development of legacy and current military–specific communications technologies in support of planned and future military communication installations to the MOD.
- Lead the development of communication architecture solutions across the frequency spectrum.
- Lead the test and evaluation of equipment and solutions in a simulated and laboratory environment.
- Produce technical documentation in support of work carried out.
- Lead the Installation and integration of equipment s in a range of military and commercial platforms including customer and stakeholder liaison.
Qualifications & Experience: - A first degree in Science or Engineering, or an equivalent, nationally recognised, professional qualification.
- Experience of working on a range of communications projects.
- Experience of giving customer advice through quality technical outputs.
- Experience of working with a broad and comprehensive range of concepts and principles within the areas of RF communications.
- Demonstrable understanding in the use of RF measurement tools such as Network and Spectrum Analysers.
- Demonstrable understanding of engineering tools such MATLAB /Simulink and Python.
- Hold or be eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
