Job description
I am on the lookout for a Scheme Manager on a full-time, ongoing temporary basis to oversee the day-to-day housing management of a large retirement living scheme in Chester.
You will be based on site Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. The scheme has excellent public transport links and is accessible by train, bus, and car with free parking on-site.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting and enabling residents to sustain independent living and maintaining a positive climate for resident involvement within the scheme, attending and hosting resident meetings where necessary.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with on-site partners and key stakeholders to ensure the best service for residents.
- Manage and monitor all spend allocated against the scheme
- Ensuring health, safety and property compliance & legislations are met, carrying out regular inspections & fire-checks, and reporting any required maintenance or repair work.
- Maintaining scheme compliance with contractual obligations
What you'll need to succeed:
- Prior experience managing older people\'s housing services/schemes
- Good knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy/housing management principles
- Ability to relate to a diverse range of people and effective communication skills to work with members of the public, particularly older people
- Strong IT skills and proficient user of Microsoft Word & Excel
- Experience of managing staff preferential
