Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Tipton

Salary: £13 -£14 – depending on experience

Hours: Afternoons Mon – Fri 3pm-1am OR 5pm-1am if that is more suitable for the right candidate

Permanent

Previous line leading or supervisory experience is advantageous to be considered for the role.

Purpose:To ensure any Production equipment / machinery is in a Safe condition, run in an efficient manner whilst still maintaining specified Food Safety Standards. Also, Support the management team to achieve objectives regarding tackling human resource issues.

Key responsibilities:

• To work as part of the team which they lead and be a contributor, where possible, to suggest, support and innovate solutions.
• To contribute to achieving success within the operation
• Support the management team to achieve objectives regarding tackling human resource issues.
• Guide team members to achieve personal opportunities and respect personal individuality.
• Organises and monitors workflow on the production floor. To optimise performance by meeting various targets
• Ensuring that the required quality, safety, hygiene and environmental standards are maintained and improved
• Ensure all Operative training is up to date to enable them to carry out their job function.
• Must be able to work flexible hours / shifts and carrying out a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
• Able to show problem solving qualities
• Pro-active approach to daily and long term issues as they arise
• Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure
• Well organised and able to react to the needs of the business
• To perform any other reasonable tasks when required.
• Work to good hygiene and housekeeping practices set out by the company, keeping your work area clean and tidy
• Ensure product is of good quality, complete quality checks as you work

Knowledge & experience:

• Experience in food manufacturing environment (Advantageous)
• Must be fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing to fulfil all aspects of role i.e., being able to communicate in the business language (English), complete legal paperwork and understand company policies and procedures
