Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm
Fridays 7.30am - 1.30pm
Weekly Pay
£32,000+ per annum Based on Experience

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Package Build Assembler to work for an exciting client based in the Stonehouse area.
The Package Blower and Build Fitter (Mechanical) leads and helps develop the package build process ensuring the achievement of manufacturing goals related to quality, delivery and safety are met.
The main duties of the role include:
- The assembly of mechanical fabrications using basic hand, electric and pneumatic tools.
- The assembly of large bore (up to 300mm) carbon and stainless-steel flanged process pipework including connections to silencers, valves and control equipment.
- Building of blower units to specification.
- The forming, installation and termination of stainless-steel instrument and process pipework and associated controls
- The manufacture of minor brackets and similar small fabrications using hand and power tools
- Ensuring engineering drawings are fit for build execution.
- Assisting with 'Quality' and 'Health & Safety' implementation, including the establishment and implementation of safe systems of work, risk assessments and method statements related to all aspects of the build activities.
- Providing hands on advice to other team members in the production of detail drawings, as required, together with pre-production checking.
- Managing and coordinating the raising of bills of material and purchase requisitions for materials, parts and equipment, whilst liaising closely with the design drawing office and project team.
- Proactively developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with and between all departments.
- Mentoring of junior members of the team and apprentices in the department
