Job description
Our client specialises in offering life-insurance-based wealth management and employee benefit solutions to a global audience is seeking to recruit an Application Support Analyst / Report Writer, Guernsey.
Overall purpose of the role:
The job involves developing and maintaining a variety of in-house reporting/data extract solutions/QlikView and Power BI Dashboards.
The role is based within a flexible multi-skilled team, whose members are required to be energetic, creative and delivery focused, able to collaborate well to maximize overall team effectiveness.
The work requires liaison with business users over business requirements and with many external teams across the group.
Key responsibilities will include;
• Involvement in all aspects of the application software lifecycle: Analysing business requirements and translating them into deliverables.
• Develop and design reports/data extracts to service change requests received from the business. Manage report development and maintenance in line with business and project requirements and timelines. Improve efficiency and accuracy of information supplied to all business partners.
• Develop, design and support QlikView and Power BI dashboards
The successful candidate will be:
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting sand problem solving skills.
• Good capability in supporting wide range of business applications
• Part qualified business analyst
• SQL – experience working on relational databases
• Experience in the following; Visual Studio, SSIS packages, SSRS reports, Atlassian/BitBucket, QlikView, PowerBI, CRM, SharePoint, AD, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Office
• Experience in Banking and Insurance sector
• Graduate level education
