Workplace & Office Management at MPB:
As the Workplace & Office Manager at MPB, you will oversee the day-to-day office management tasks while taking on a key role in enhancing workplace sustainability, safety, and employee experience across all locations.
Locally, you will be directly responsible for maintaining a clean and efficient office environment at the MPB Head Office in Brighton. Duties will include managing office supplies, coordinating with external contractors, and promoting and enhancing the employee experience.
Globally, you will directly manage our 2 office managers in Berlin and Brooklyn to ensure that we have a consistency of approach to all physical locations, and to the MPB employee experience across all locations. You will have global oversight over MPB's workplace function.
This role is based 5 days per week at the MPB Head Office on Ship Street, Brighton, with direct responsibility for this location. This position reports to the VP of People.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the people team to promote and enhance the employee experience
Workplace onboarding for all new MPB employees in Brighton
Work with the communications team to ensure that all employees are clear on the goals for our locations, and to ensure that expectations for use of all facilities are aligned
Implement and oversee sustainability initiatives within the workplace.
Educate and guide staff on proper recycling practices.
Ensure clear signage is in place to promote recycling and sustainability efforts.
Provide accurate reporting to facilitate quarterly communications to the wider company.
Ensure office supplies are well-stocked and manage orders for stationary, workplace items, stationary items, perishable goods etc via sustainable partnerships
Keep all spaces, both inside and outside, tidy and professional - maintaining an exceptional workplace environment
Welcome visitors to the site, and support employees in managing the visitor experience whilst visiting
Utilise monthly reporting to manage budgets related to workplace operations.
Work with the finance team to support correct forecasting of future budgets
Oversee all aspects of fire safety within the workplace territory
Ensure all Health and Safety (H&S) requirements are met.
Manage contractor training and workplace onboarding.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all external contractors.
Support the office managers to ensure the proper management of their locations
Support the office managers to drive forward the MPB sustainability roadmap
