Contract: Full time, (Temporary & Permanent roles available)

Reporting to: Assistant Head of Teaching and Learning - Curriculum
Key Responsibilities
Lesson planning and delivery
- Plan, deliver and evaluate lessons in the Company's online platform.
- Create stimulating and challenging learning opportunities.
- Establish and communicate high expectations, designing tasks that engage and motivate students.
- Utilise the Learning Cloud effectively to create an engaging outcome-driven learning environment.
- Enable students to acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills and understanding appropriate to the subject taught.
- Differentiate planning and teaching to meet diverse educational needs, including SEND, MAT, CLA. ASD and SEMH.
Curriculum design
- Collaborate in curriculum design and the creation of materials to develop high quality, rich and inclusive curriculums.
- Innovate and adapt curriculum materials to meet the evolving needs of students and align with educational standards
- Continuously assess and refine curriculum materials based on feedback, student performance data, and emerging educational trends.
Supporting students
- Nurture the emotional, intellectual, spiritual, creative, and physical wellbeing of all students
- Champion a culture of safeguarding to ensure the safety of students is a priority
- Create an environment in which behaviour facilitates progress, in line with the Company's behaviour policy
Assessment for learning, engagement, and feedback
- Provide frequent, timely and purposeful feedback that contributes to students’ progress, engagement and suggests ways to improve.
- Utilise assessment effectively to provide accurate student information on students’ progress and attainment.
- Utilise assessment, engagement and feedback as mechanisms for improving provision and enhancing students’ outcomes.
Quality assurance
- Ensure activities and strategies align with Company’s Business Development Plan (BDP).
- Use the Company’s teacher standards as a framework for continuous improvement and engage positively in reflective practice.
- Proactively seek opportunities to share best practice and pursue professional development, adopting an evidence informed approach to teaching and learning.
Teamwork
- Contribute to a team culture that supports, motivates, and challenges colleagues.
- Prioritises open communication, trust, and respect without divisive behaviour.

Requirements
Essential
- Knowledge, understanding and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
- Qualified teacher status
- Expert subject and curriculum knowledge
- Evidence of excellent planning, assessment and record keeping
- Excellent knowledge of national curriculum, and exam specifications and systems
- Proven record of initiating and maintaining innovative curriculum design and delivery
- Experience in teaching students with diverse educational needs, including SEND, MAT, CLA. ASD and SEMH
- Respect and promote the company’s ethos and values
- Be an innovative, flexible, and reflective individual with a can-do attitude
- Prioritise and manage time appropriately, able to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent ICT skills, especially proficient in Office365
- Excellent administration skills
- Excellent record of attendance and punctuality
- Motivated to make a difference to the lives of children and young people
- Ability to set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students
- Experience of using Teams as a communication and collaboration tool (or a willingness to learn quickly!)

Desirable
- At least 2 years’ teaching experience
- Experience of online learning
- Experience in a range of education settings
- Evidence of commitment to personal and professional development
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Welsh
- Ability to teach Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural (SMSC) curriculum
- Ability to teach another subject
Benefits
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (08:30 – 16:00)
Holidays: 47 days, plus 8 bank holidays per annum (pro rata)
Location: Wrexham - 5 days a month, work from home the rest of the time
Salary: £27,238 - £44,115 per annum
