Job description


Our Whitstable based Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team are looking for a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Assistant for a 12 month opportunity.

Pulmonary rehabilitation is an evidence-based treatmentfor specific chronic respiratory diseases. It includes exercise and extensive education that is open to patients, as well as partners and carers. We are highly experienced chartered physiotherapists, specialist rehabilitation assistants and respiratory counsellors.

We offer a tailored programme of exercise for people with moderate to severe lung disease, which aims to improve exercise tolerance, reduce symptoms and a patient’s disability. The idea is to improve a person’s quality of life and help them manage their condition.

As a Band 3 Pulmonary Rehabilitation Assistant will work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers, who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services.

We are looking for someone who has experience experience as a
Healthcare Assistant / Worker in a health or social care setting who wants to work as part of team dedicated to providing excellent care.

You should also have a relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ / QCF Diploma or certificate of care / Advanced apprenticeship ) or equivalent and functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy / GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)
